We offer Self-Service Car Rental for our Customers arriving at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. You may use this to cut the line at our counter or as a low fee after-hours pick-up option. This is a contact-free service.

How does Self-Service Car Rental work?

• Make your reservation at least 96 hours in advance on our website.
• After choosing your car from our available vehicles, on the Choose extras page we will prompt you to „Choose pick-up option”, if your rental is eligible for Self-Service Pick-up.
• We will ask you to provide proof of identity in the form of a selfie, a scan of your ID/Passport and your Driver’s license.
• We will also ask you to pay your rental fee online, in advance and the deposit for the rental vehicle will be reserved on your credit card a few days before the rental begins.
• You will receive an email with the 8-digit PIN code to use in our smart locker for picking up your rental car keys after your booking is confirmed.

Self-Service pick-up:

• Go to our office on the arrivals level of Terminal 2B.
• The smart locker is located on the side of our office.
• Choose the language your most comfortable with on the screen.
• Enter your 8-digit PIN code.
• Take out the paper pouch that contains your key from the locker, and close the locker door.
• The pouch will have your name, reservation #, your vehicle’s license plate, and the parking spot where you’ll find it.
• Walk to the Rent-A-Car parking (about 2 minutes from the terminal) and find your vehicle.
• On the passenger seat you will find a sheet with the car’s details such as milage, previous damage, your rental contract, and the ticket to be used to exit the Rent-A-Car parking area.
• Please check that our damage assessment reflects the actual state of the car before driving away.

Self-Service drop-off:

• When your rental is finished, please return the car to the Rent-A-Car parking lot at Airport Terminal 2.
• Please park your vehicle at a designated Schiller Rent-A-Car parking space.
• After locking your vehicle take the key to the smart locker located next to our counter at the arrivals level of Terminal 2B.
• On the screen of the smart locker, enter the same 8-digit PIN code you previously used to pick up the car.
• Put the key in the locker and make sure the locker’s door is closed properly.
